In preparation for Christmas, there was an accidental acquisition of some Dow's Trademark (some=36 bottles)
Christmas Day produced an "ooh" with a Morgan 66

Price, length of tenure, storage conditions with you and previous owners, sourced from and location would be handy.

A 1963 bottle stored in the airing cupboard for 30 years is worth about a pound.

OK, so the Finest Reserve isn't subtle. I'm not going to go for official tasting notes but it tastes like port, it looks like port and has a mouth feel that isn't bad at all.

My tally shows 24 of those so that's the next month sorted anyway.

DRT - I think the 25% off finishes today which is worth bearing in mind. I picked up 12 of the Taylors 2005 LBV last night and 6 of the own brand Tawny which is actually thoroughly drinkable. Quite nice but I may prefer the Dow's Midnight although Asda have put that up to £5.86 for a 500ml bottle. Need to try both in a sitting as the taste buds are playing up recently.

Warre's 2006 LBV at £6.99 in Morrisons. Rather heavy and unsubtle on initial drinking but after the first couple of glasses it was better. Uncertain whether that was its contact with air or my contact with port.
