Wine Spectator subscription

Post by smisse »

Is anyone aware of a possibility to have a cheap subscription on WS in Europe?

I personally find the price difference with the US ridiculous (50$ vs 150$ annually) and rather spend that difference on port ;)

Did you ever consider an online subscription? It gives you access to the same articles and tasting notes. I use that, as a subscription to an alcohol related magazine is completely out of the question here.

I did consider this and might take one if no printed alternative is available at reasonable price. I do prefer however a printed magazine.

Something else: Are you serious about the fact that you can not subscribe to alcohol related magazines in Oman? Would they actually open your mail?

Another option to explore: I don't know if anything like this exists in Holland, but here in Oman there is a company that offers you to open a PO Box in the US, for which you only have to pay a one-time administration fee. You can then have things sent to that PO Box. The express company then makes sure the delivery to your home address is made. The delivery part is of course where the company makes its money, and I don't know what it would cost to have a magazine delivered every month, but I used it once for something else and it works very well. But again, I don't know if anything like that exists for Holland as well.

I made up my mind and will go for the online subscription.

I'm still upset about the fact that they just open your mail
