I nearly forgot this tasting note from the Deeper Underground offline. What was I thinking!
This was the port served with dinner, and went very well with a rib-eye steak. Deep in colour, still opaque, and with a smell of freshly baked home-made mince pies. A little bland on initial tasting but a lovely fruit-dominated palate developed with a little more time in the glass. The aftertaste was short but pleasant. Perfectly respectable. 5/5 or 88/100. Decanted for 8 hours and drunk on 28 January 2008.
