2008 Yattarna

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

From magnum. Pale lemon yellow colour, less than 5% opaque. Made exclusively from Chardonnay fruit grown in the Derwent Valley in Tasmania. Slight petrol on the nose. Slightly flabby palate but lots of tropical fruit, melons and pineapple. Lovely apple juice on the finish. Good length. This will develop and improve. 87/100. Drunk 27-Mar-15.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: DR Very Old White, Graham Stone Terraces 2011, Quevedo Branco 1986 b.2026
