I'm curious to know the quantities of VP produced in the declared years between '55 and '97, ideally on a per-producer basis but on an overall total would be useful if such detail is not available. Does this information exist anywhere?
Since the beneficio for each year is known, a rough % figure for "how much of all port produced in a generally declared year is VP" would work as a starting estimate, but I wondered if anyone was aware of more detailed information, either overall, per-producer, or for individual producers?

Re: Quantities of VP produced each year
We have tried to capture this information and record it whenever we have come across it in recent vintages, so try a search on this site and on FTLOP for key phrases like "cases produced", "pipes produced" etc.
There are some references to limited information in books such as Suckling and Mayson, but I think this would be a real piece of research if you wanted to pull together a reasonably comprehensive list.

Given I replied to you in that thread, you'd think I'd have remembered it before asking, since it was only a couple of months ago. Oh dear.flash_uk wrote:I was also looking for this recently, see here.. Got nowhere with finding anything useful.

I should say, the IVDP website was utterly useless, so don't waste any time there...
