Naming competition
Naming competition
This thread is a naming competition. Various Port shippers have decided to bottle old casks, give them a fancy name, and sell them at a fancy price.
The competition is to suggest a fancy name.
If that name is then used by a shipper, that shipper is morally obliged to give a bottle of the lovely juice to the person who named it.

Re: Naming competition
I’ll go first: Forgotten Forgiven. It was an old cask, left so long that the shipper had, in effect forgotten about it. But the cask itself has forgiven this administrative oversight.

I claim "Old Douro".
I refuse to enter the competition to attach a marketing message.

Re: Naming competition
A cask that was made by farmers João and António 134 years ago, which at the time we said wasn't good enough to command full price, but which we've had in our lodge all these years and which is now marketed as being made by us. And commands full price.
