One quiz at a time
Re: One quiz at a time
I am less familiar with the rules of cricket than I am of rugby. Is there a rule that allows a player to be cited after the match?
This level of impertinence to the umpire is quite unacceptable.

Why is it that you have to go to bed by midnight in your father's house but stay up chatting until the small hours when at home?djewesbury wrote:Enough enough. How am I supposed to sleep when you keep binging every few minutes? Ok call it three. But I've got another two because it's neither of the things you just guessed.
I hinted that you had got the country right earlier. The drink was complimentary, my father being a regular customer.
There is no good answer to that question.
Night, night.

Re: One quiz at a time
At the risk of further arousing Julian's ire by deliberately starting a port conversation on meaningless drivel, I am constantly amazed by the grumbles about low rent port. I cannot think of a port which I have rejected outright, with the exception of all sorts of rubies. Perhaps I have just been lucky or have no sense of smell.DRT wrote:Your fine has been increased from 1 to 2 free bottles of Offley Boa Vista 1972.LGTrotter wrote:You can fine me all or some part of my match fee.

We appear to be without a question, so I will fill the gap. Still sulking over not being able to attend the Test Match, I decided my question will be "What sport did I last go and watch live?" You can guess sport or event.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

While I commend you on your imaginative answers so far, none are correct.
The Red Bull Air Race is not at Ascot until August.
Perhaps a clue. I attended the venue on Friday 30th May.

I very rarely watch Association Football, live or televised. Not Goodwood, not trampolining.
Another clue, I also went to the last day (of 4) on Saturday 31st May.

Some form of that baseball-esque sport with the pitchers who can't seem to throw a ball on the fly to the batter, and the batters who can't find a proper bat so theve stolen a school masters discipline paddle.

Not cricket, not fishing, not something I've not heard of.
Next clue: it is an Olympic sport (summer Olympics, just for the pedants amongst us) and featured in the 2012 Olympics.
