Reading some books I was supposed to be moving today I came across;

I have absolutely no idea but a "da Silva" vintage port would have been suitable I would think. Even more so as Clemente da Silva came from Brazil as he set up the the port firm of C. da Silva.

Out of curiosity I looked up the menu for the state dinner staged for David Cameron's visit to Washington last year.

All the food items were described in great detail, including where they were grown. But at the end it simply said 'an American wine will be paired with each course'

- I'm sure the American winemakers really appreciated that.....
