RHC ?

Post by uncle tom »

I have recently acquired an empty old bottle that bears the legend " RHC 1815 "

- Does anyone have any ideas as to who RHC might be?

From here:
Richard Hall Clark(e) 1759-1821 was JP of Dridwell, Uffculme in Devon. Bottle was to commerate his return from the battle of Waterloo.
No word as to what the bottle contained.
By chance, Richard Clark is also an Executive partner of Slaughter and May

Well spotted Phil - the bottle (Item 22) is exactly the same.
