Diameter of 'Imperial' 9oz glasses?

Post by djewesbury »

Does anyone happen to know the diameter of the foot of standard 'Imperial' 9oz wine glasses? Placemat question; glass supplier not forthcoming with this information, Google yielding nothing....

According to this website they are 180mm tall. You could calculate a close estimate by printing the image, measuring the height of the glass and width of the base and doing some maths.

But the widest point of the glass looks to be wider than the base. This might be an optical illusion but is worth checking.

Great minds.. I found a similar picture online giving a height of 169mm.. opened and cropped this in Photoshop and then resized it to discover that the diameter (at the widest point, not the base) was around 70mm. Good enough for me..
