On Sunday, March 27th at 1there will be a port tasting organised by the IVDP at Pro Wein (Halle 6, IVDP/Viniportugal-area) with the following ports:
Infantado White Port (with Tonic)
Pocas 10y old Tawny
Andresen 20y old Tanwy
Niepoort Colheita 1986
Graham Vintage Port 1985
Fonseca Panscal Vintage Port 2008.
Tasting is free of charge for visitors. The only bad thing is you have to listen to some port stuff you already know
That may be a difficult decision for JDAW. Option (1): visit ProWein and drink Graham 1985; or (2) stay in Paris and drink Cruz White NV because it is better than the alternatives.
I wonder what he'll choose to do?

Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Well bring them, too. You can never start too early and the train is free for kids.
The perfect ice-breaker for starting difficult conversations with port shippers when asking why they won't ship quality products to France. Simply point to the children and explain how difficult it is for a single father to be able to travel to events such as this one - and marvel at the size of the untapped market for quality port that is in (the 19th arrondisment of) Paris.
