There is only one "black stuff" in Dublin - and I've had 5 pints of it already and it's only 7pm

Slacker! Pick up the pace! Most Dubliners drink that much over lunch!

Hello, happy new year everybody -
Any time not spend drinking port, is a waste of time.

Despite my early start I managed to drive on through until 4am. I lost count after a while but based on the hole in my wallet would estimate that between 15 and 20 pints of black gold passed through my body in 12 hours. I felt remarkably sober when I returned to the hotel and didn't suffer from much of a hangover this morning. My conclusion is that Guinness is good for you.
Happy New Year from Dublin.

Happy New Year all. I spent my New Year's Eve at a party, but was the designated driver so I did the opposite of Derek - and touched nary a drop!
But there is a bottle of port standing on the side waiting to be decanted for tonight...

Happy new year all -- may it be filled with lots of the "black" stuff (aka Fonseca 03)

Port wine should perhaps be added -- A Trollope

Happy New Year all!
New Year's eve was spent on a beach, far away from everything and anyone, except us, some Dutch friends and a group of about 30 British friends of friends. The British secured that there was enough booze, music and laughter to last through the evening. Remind me never to drink wodka, tequila and rum again on the same evening. Ouch.
