A Ramos Pinto vertical was held on Tuesday 9th June 2026 (our first in 11.6 years), at the traditioonal Boot & Flogger, as arranged by Michael M., for whom Neil C. late deputised.

RP83, from PW from IDJ. Black 98% opaque. Black, 98% opaque. This is a good 1983, with plums and big sweetness. But very baga.

Even more unfeasibly dark than those around it. Big rich palate, a touch better than the 1982. Really fine finish of baked blackcurrant and black cherry. I found the sinewy quality attractive.
