A Ramos Pinto vertical was held on Tuesday 9th June 2026 (our first in 11.6 years), at the traditioonal Boot & Flogger, as arranged by Michael M., for whom Neil C. late deputised.

RP34, from IDJ. Orange, 20% opaque. Nose strongly of burnt rubber. Palate better than nose, but I struggled to get past the burnt rubber.

A good red. Big pungent, almost brutal, nose. Big spine-tingling port on the palate with a strong balsamic note. Very distinctive. I rather liked it and, again, am very grateful for its donation.
