Not that it helps at all with Conky’s sensible question.
Not that that advances us any further towards an answer to Conky's sensible question.

can you hold off on that until I get there in October....speaking of which...Conky, I am getting my RSVP in early for your spare bed or couch. Derek likes the kitchen, so no worries about himDerek T. wrote:I think an offline is in order.
By my reckoning this forum has generated more port offlines than any other port forum on the planet so that has to be the way to cellebrate our 1st birthday?

Conception was it being discussed, …
Conception was it being discussed, the domain being purchased by somebody, and the like. Surely by the time a post was made it had been born.

I refer to my post, second in this thread, where I give my opinion within half an hour of thread starting. I refer to my third answer in the third post in this thread where I gave an opinion that is consistent with that expressed by Brother KillerB in the second post in this thread and referred to in the post immediately preceding this one.KillerB wrote:I refer to my post, second in this thread, where I give my opinion within half an hour of thread starting. When has anybody not suggested that an off-line (known also as Tasting or Get-Together) is not a good idea not supported by the majority and not unsupported by the unconditional minority of non-supporters?
Port is basically a red drink
Never have the majority of the opposition to the minority of non-supporters suggested anything other than an Off-line would be a better alternative to the situation of not having an Off-line as perhaps would be supported by those who directly opposed the view that an Offline was the preferrable alternative the the absence of such an event.KillerB wrote:Point of information:Derek T. wrote:I refer to my third answer in the third post in this thread where I gave an opinion that is consistent with that expressed by Brother KillerB in the second post in this thread and referred to in the post immediately preceding this one.KillerB wrote:I refer to my post, second in this thread, where I give my opinion within half an hour of thread starting. Just in case anyone has forgotten: was born on Wednesday 20th June 2007 and 22:15 BST. I would therefore suggest that whatever event is deemed suitable to mark our 1st Anniversary happens or commences precisely at or as close as is practicable to 22:15 BST on Friday 20 June 2008.KillerB wrote:I was looking at the wrong post, it's 21:15Derek T. wrote:It appears as 21:15 here too.jdaw1 wrote:Are you two minutes late? Here is my suggestion for the event:
Event Type: Virtual Off-line
When?: See post immediately preceeding this one
Attendees: Anyone who can make it and wants to be there
Theme: Open at least one bottle of port and drink it whilst spouting off about port and drivel on
Types of Port Allowed: Anything you want to open
Rules: None worth mentioning
Can you use a Tasting Mat?: Hell yes! Jdaw, please produce 1, 2, 3 & 4 glass blinded variants for starters?
That's my starter for 10 - feel free to improve.
