Red in centre, yellowing rim. Nose has pontefract cakes. Strawberries on the palate. Lovely warm wine. Would be lovely to drink a bottle of this on its own.

Ni60, one of the most attractive appearances at this tasting. Bronze, 30% opaque. A little dried citrus peel on the nose. Sweet and smooth on the palate, dried red fruit leading to a glorious sweet red cherry aftertaste and long finish. Impressive. Rather lovely. 93/100.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: DR Very Old White, Graham Stone Terraces 2011, Quevedo Branco 1986 b.2026

Alex’s tasting notes and my tasting notes are usually two sides of an isosceles triangle - part of the same whole but his are longer (and much more useful).
