1985 Fonseca. Dark red with a ruby tone, 90% opaque. Dense on the nose with a little bit of bottle stink obscuring what the wine could be showing. The bottle stink or maybe baked also shows on the palate, raisiny and prune. Hints of tannins on the late palate give a gentle grip. Some black cherry fruit on the aftertaste. Perhaps a bottle which has been in a warm environment for part of its life. NR.
