Tesco 1995, from Quarles Harris. Red tone of early maturity on the eye, slightly cloudy with a lot of sediment in the bottom of the glass. Ripe but elegant fruit on the nose with an attractive balance on the palate. Sadly the initial palate delivers less than expected from the nose but the mid-palate fills out nicely with a light bodied raspberry backed by significant acidity. The raspberry shines on the palate, with a nice medium intensity. Great length. Really nice everyday drinking Port. 88/100.
Top 2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

2026: DR Very Old White, Graham Stone Terraces 2011, Quevedo Branco 1986 b.2026
