From same stash as two previous Forum notes.
Acquired from Corney & Barrow a few years ago for sub £20 per bottle.
Pink wax capsule and cork both clearly labelled Offley Boa Vista 1950 & Harvey's of Bristol.
This bottle was leaking so was stood up a couple of years ago.
Mid shoulder, opened and decanted evening of 24 December 2025.
Xmas evening...
Clear and bright, maybe 20% opacity. Amber oloroso colour.
Slightly maderized nose, some orange?, not much else.
Palate more forthcoming. Orange citrus comes through. A bit of licorice. Maybe some spice. Alcohol a bit too forward.
Overall, wasn't expecting much, but quite enjoyable.
Sort of what I now expect from a 50 - unless it's the Cockburn Raby.
