Great news - there will be at least one prize which only looks a little shoddy!
Also, please get your votes in. You don't have to be there to vote.

I will give some thought about what to bring.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!

Reluctantly it looks like I need to bow out of this auspicious occasion. It was 50/50 but is now complicated by the landslide on the tracks in Basingstoke meaning no direct trains from Weymouth to London and a significant reduction in services. I hope the spot gets filled but if there is still space nearer the time and logistics prove possible I would happily jump back in.

Zak x do you want me to vote regardless of attendance?

No worries Simon. By the looks of it, there will likely be free spots remaining for a change of circumstance.
Please vote regardless of attendance. Same goes for all people viewing this.

Just realised I’m not listed as an “online attendee”. Is it ok for me to attend virtually?

I forgot about the online aspect. I will try broadcast the awards bit but believe it will be troublesome for engagement for the entire evening.

Again, please vote if you haven't. https://forms.gle/z1ExxDnyBsQ6t52t7

Zak - I can bring my laptop and set up a teams call. If someone else can also bring a laptop or tablet we can set up one to one calls on each machine so Mike and Justin can each have their own virtual “seats” at the table.

Sure, let's try that. I was also considering whether we should just stream to YouTube given back and forth between a large in person group and those online will be tricky. Either way, I'll bring my laptop.

Thank us when it works...

You'll all be pleased to know that the prizes are ready; some being of far better quality than the others. Blame the manufacturer.

Also, please note that voting closes in one week so do get your votes in, even if you're not attending.

Voting is closed. Many thanks for those who did.

I've removed Glenn from the in-person tasting given I havent heard anything about him flying over - I have added him to the online option for which I'll send a link shortly. Would someone be able to check with Tony if he is still keen?

Unusually for me, I have been ill today. Flu-like symptoms; covid test was negative. I hope to be on sparkling form by Tuesday, but that cannot yet be certain. So I’ll order food on the night.

I would like to join and have WhatsApp, FaceTime, Zoom (but not a subscription). don’t use the others but could explore if that is the desired route to the virtual participants.

I have Zoom and WhatsApp. Unfortunately I have a meeting from 11-12 Pacific and will need Zoom for that.

I can download whatever's necessary for the others except Facetime seeing as I use a PC.

The other option is that we host a youtube live stream. I can play with it tomorrow when im granted access (takes 24hrs to approve). This will be surely the easiest for everyone to get involved with?
