Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
The bottles and associated providers are:
The CGs - 2003 & 2007 VP; 1987 Agua Alta; 1984, 1986 & 1989 Fojo
NAC - 1985, 1991, 1994 & 1997 VP
GEAG - 2000 VP; 1992 & 1998 Agua Alta
SCD - 1995 Agua Alta
tbc - 1982 VP
I believe this is 15 bottles which feels sufficient?
If you're providing bottles please PM or email me associated costs. Once I have all I'll advise the per head cost.

Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
I believe I only have the 85 and 2011, both of which are in storage and so it looks as though I will need to adopt.
Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
Believed now to include all details except the (missing) provider of the ’82.

Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
1982 has just arrived - bottle looks in good condition. Level is base of neck.
I'm intending to double decant the bottles I'm bringing on Monday evening.

Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
I've just been made aware that there will be a tube strike on Tuesday. I still plan on attending but may need to leave early to ensure I make my trip back to Bristol.
Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
Hi Neil
I am going to have to back out as we are now moving into our new home Tuesday! Really sorry - if I owe anything let me know!

Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
I might be able to produce a backup attendee. Asking.
Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
Mine hasn’t replied. He’s at-risk. Ask yours.
Answer received: he won’t know whether available until Tuesday. If on Tuesday there’s still a spare seat, I can ask him at noon-ish (what time will you be printing?), and he might or might not then be available.

Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
HTWH has withdrawn, so we're now at 12. If attendees drop below this I'll consider reducing the number of bottles.

Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
The wines coming direct from the Churchills have arrived at Casa Colman, so now just need to decant 11 bottles this evening.
Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
Tube strikes: 'High chance' of no London Underground on Tuesday: some people will want to leave early. 18:00 for 18:30?
Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
Sounds good. I plan to arrive by 6pm, and will need to head at a reasonable time
Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
Would somebody — not Neil, he’s decanting — pls check the placemats.

Lordy, very wrong. Updated. Thank you for checking — especially because you aren’t a usual checker person.idj123 wrote: ↑19:54 Mon 28 Feb 2022Phil and Harry are non attendees and I am currently missing.jdaw1 wrote: ↑19:36 Mon 28 Feb 2022Would somebody — not Neil, he’s decanting — pls check the placemats.

Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
All decanted & all seem good.
Not convinced the 84 Fojo is what it says on the label though. Will update further tomorrow.
I’m aiming to be there some time between 1700 and 1730. Will bring the placemats with me.

Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
Julian - can you please post on here when the final version is ready to print. I'm working in a basement office today without any phone connectivity so picking up emails/WhatsApps is tricky. Planning on leaving here at 1600.jdaw1 wrote: ↑19:36 Mon 28 Feb 2022 Would somebody — not Neil, he’s decanting — pls check the placemats.
Re: Churchill Tasting, 1st March 2022
Last night’s version (20:00 Mon 28 Feb 2022) believed good and final. Print at will.
