Bought from the Oxford & Cambridge club's wine list @ £62 per bottle. Round and figgy with a core of dry charcoal tannins. Just moving into its drinking window and would benefit from a much longer decant. 88/100. 23-Nov-1“
Was gonna rip tonight but wanna see if anyone has recent experience. This wine in pristine shape and pristine 1970 will live another 40 no sweat
I’ve always found it a good wine, quite different from many of the 1997s which have matured very quickly. The Taylor is big and bulky and very enjoyable.
But it’s not a wine I’m trying to buy more of. I’d rather buy Taylor 1992 or 1994.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
