Wasn't there a vintage pressed by Israeli tanks or something?

I believe the anecdote Serge told was from 1983 but the vintage involved was not...

1984, when they used a white flag on the lorry? I believe very small vintage because of war.

I am fortunate to have a bottle of the 1984 in the cellar. I think there were only a thousand cases made, and only released a few years ago. Due the the troubles the grapes had started fermenting early in delayed transport, so it apparently it has a port like nature to this vintage. I am very much looking forward to opening it one day to see if this is the case.
But this is not the vintage in question...

Well, then I learned something new today. Timpani spelled with a "y" is the old fashion way of spelling it. However, I am an old fashion guy.

Not clarinet.

Not flute.

A clue. Getting a place in an orchestra would be easier, playing this instrument, as opposed to many others.

The clue should narrow it down to one of two, depending on strings or wind. I shall ponder overnight...

It is a favourite food for beavers.
We had 3 large trees growing 5 - 6 meters from the house, and one night 20 years ago, 2 fell at the teeth of beavers. Luckily they fell away from the house.
So now there is only one left.

A draft of The Book, since superseded, wrote:
1945 Andresen: De Nederlandse Wijnkoperij, of Amsterdam, Nijmegen, and ’s-Hertogenbosch, in July 1962, lists “Porto Andresen Vintage 1945”. Two prices are given, ƒ7,20 and ƒ9,25, but regrettably the author’s photograph of the page failed to include the column titles.
I have since returned to the Amsterdam City Archives and discovered the meaning of the two price columns (e.g., ƒ7,20 versus ƒ9,25).

What do the two price columns mean?
