While I was doing my usual shopping today, I decided to further stock up on Niepoort's 2011 LBV, so I put two bottles into the trolley. At home I was surprised to find that one bottle was bottled in 2015 (like the other bottles that I have) and one in 2016. So I wonder a) if different bottling years...

In Gothenburg Landvetter airport they sell Andresen 1995 Colheita in the (non-)Duty Free shop. You are not allowed to buy ANY alcohol if you are flying within the EU. It was bottled in 2004. You can get it for 75 Euros on the German market (shipping costs to the UK are quite low, so this should not be a problem).

There was an obituary in the local paper which said that de Oliveira made a living during the Salazar years by making port wine on the estate that his wife had inherited. I guess what the journalist meant was that he ran the quinta and sold the grapes to port companies.
