Thanks for the heads up, are the wines available for this one?

Yes, there will be wines available but they’ve not been announced yet. Suspect it’ll be a few days until they are. Will update when I know.

No details yet for QdlR on the 14th? They might be cutting it fine to have time to sell "tickets" and ensure the wines are delivered in time unless they start soon...

Re: Quinta de la Rosa @ 67 Virtual
I’ve only bought a tasting pack for one previous virtual tasting from them, but it all seemed very much at the last minute, although everything went completely smoothly.
Re: Quinta de la Rosa @ 67 Virtual
This is all pretty normal. Suspect details will be released early next week. I'll post an update.
Re: Quinta de la Rosa @ 67 Virtual
The wines samples are:
2019 Quinta de la Rosa Branco
2019 Quinta de La Rosa Reserve Branco
2018 Quinta de La Rosa Tinto
2017 Quinta de La Rosa Reserva Tinto
Quinta de la Rosa 10 Year Old Tawny Port
2005 Quinta de la Rosa Vintage Port
£75 UK, £85 EU
Link to site...
Obviously focus is the table wines.

Re: Quinta de la Rosa @ 67 Virtual
That's a bit disappointing. The first three are pretty affordable wines, especially in Portugal (say €13 a bottle?) and my memory of the whites was that you wouldn't drink them unless you particularly wanted a Douro White.
I was expecting it mostly to be table wines but was hoping for a bit of a vertical of the reds or a comparison of the single vineyard ones they've been making recently.
We've got a few bottles of the tinto and easy drinking douROSA around so I'm in two minds as to whether to get the samples or just buy a bottle of the tinto reserva and one of the Ports (which will probably end up a bit cheaper).
Is anyone else thinking of getting the samples?

A bit expensive @ £55, but I decided to buy a bottle of the 2005 la Rosa VP from Berry's and to log on for this tasting. It's the only one of the wines I'm not familiar with and the one I am most interested in, having tasted several 2005 Ports this year (such as Quevedo and Churchill at their online tastings).
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Does anyone fancy a Zoom tasting following on from the 67 Pall Mall tasting?

I’ve only got the free for 40 minutes version of Zoom, but we can bounce from one free call to the next.
I’ll send an invite out early next week.
