I've just acquired a small parcel of Warre 1963 which has a quite distinctive four-leaf clover (?) design embossed in the foil (photo below).
Does anybody know if this indicates a particular bottler?

Re: Warre 1963 Question
It almost certainly does. But I don’t know who. I’ve checked my bottles and don’t have the same stamp.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.
2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

Re: Warre 1963 Question
No matching image in the VPID I'm afraid - I don't know.
Does the bottle have any other marks or embossing on the bottle?

Re: Warre 1963 Question
Maybe it is a secret lucky sign and if you contact Warre they will send you the rest of the pipe!
Re: Warre 1963 Question
PhilW - probably won't help, but I'll upload a photo of the whole cap. Nothing else on bottles as they're unlabelled.

Re: Warre 1963 Question
That would make it a very lucky four leaf clover
Thanks; you can probably guess the next question - may I also add the image to the VPID please?
Re: Warre 1963 Question
PhilW - yes, of course.
The image quality is pretty poor, but I can't upload a better image due to the graphics size limit. Could email you the full image if you want?

Re: Warre 1963 Question
Mystery solved.
Just opened a bottle to start the Christmas festivities and the cork is clearly branded "Sworder London EC4".
Will post a tasting note eventually...
