Decided to open a bottle of Grahams 2000 LBV , on a day off .
I've made better decisions . . .
1st impression : mouth wash aftertaste
1 hour : cough syrup ( just as well , I've a cold )

Was that for breakfast? Put what time it is for you, in your next Post. I'm usually disappointed in the standard LBV's. Hope yours is a good un. Doesn't sound awe-inspiring up to now. You should have tried that Grahams in the bell shaped bottle, is it the Tawny? That was lovely.

Up 'till now , been rather disappointed with the LBV's I've chosen .
Colheitas and 30+ yr Tawny's for breakfast do the trick . . .

this is a darn good LBV in my book (of course we all gave different tastes). Wonder if your cold may be causing some tastes issues. I know my palate doesn't do so well when I am sick, so i avoid any wine during those times.

I'll give It another shot once the cold is over . . .

hopefully your cold is getting better. The Grahams LBV is one of my absolute winners. Please try again, as I dont have any record of anyone I have presented this wine didnt like it.

I think it's a bit unfair if you compare an LBV for 15 EUR with a colheita or a 30y old Tawny, which are more expensive. But if you are the Tawny-guy, no LBV could do the trick anyways.

Bottom line: The Grahams LBV is in my oppinion a very good representative of the LBV-squad, so please try again and tell us how it went.

I'm with you Luc, I don't like the Graham's LBV much. For a few $ more you can get the much better Crusted, or for the same money you'll buy 'real' LBV's like Niepoort, Warre, Churchill, Quinta do Crasto, Passadouro etc etc.

I've enjoyed both Niepoort and Warres LBV's .
But to be fair, I'll give Grahams 2000 LBV another go once the cold is a thing of the past .
Hope this cold leaves soon , I've a Xmas line up that needs attending . . .
