Simple question. Those receiving auction notifications from (eg) The Saleroom, do you use the words 'vintage port' as your keywords, and run the risk of missing those lots which don't use the adjective, or use the word 'port' and receive hundreds of spurious notifications revolving around other uses of the word port?

Just 'port' - Remember to select UK auctions only and set the sort order to sort by auction date. That way the stamp sales tend to migrate to the end of the listing, although the Dominic Winter book sales can be a pain as he often uses the abbreviation 'port frontis' - whatever that means..

I use vintage port and accept I'm likely to miss the odd bottle of port.

Auctioneers quite often omit the word 'vintage' and also quite often use it when they shouldn't...

I like to cast a wider net and filter, or when a catalog is posted online try many different search terms.
