Taste the 2011 Quevedo in NYC

Date TBD
but I would love to let my fellow NY Tpf'ers try the newly declared but not yet released 2011 Quevedo.
Post availability
I for one will jump the gun and say the Quevedo is one of the best vintage ports of 2011 and it's not because I'm their distributor.
Honest to truth one of the best tasting ports from 2011.

I'd echo the comments that my experience with the Quevedo is that it is one of the best from the vintage - and that's from a vintage which is the best new vintage that I have had the opportunity to try on release (the first being the 1994).

Had it last night, the same day as I enjoyed 3 glasses of the 2011 Nacional and only slightly less of the 2011 Taylor VV, and I thought it was a notch above.
Epic wine. 30 Imperials may not be sufficient!

I find it very difficult to tell with the youngster VPs, especially when not alongside each other; I did have the opportunity to taste the Qv11 on Tues night and I was impressed with it, seeming very smooth yet full of depth and fruit. Without doing a side-by-side I find it difficult to rate this against the other 11s although it definitely had me considering how it compared to the upper group, I would like to compare the depth of its tannins more directly. It would be ideal to taste this again in the autumn alongside its peers, although aside from the difficulty of trying to organise such a testing then, many will have sold out by then given the quantities available of this year.

I too truly enjoyed the tasting profile as the other Port lovers mentioned above. Thank you all for organizing this last evening.

It would be great to buy direct from Oscar when I'm in the Douro in September. But then I have to get them sent home.. Who is the UK distro..?

i think we need more NY members
Though, three of the NY tpf'ers have tried the 2011 Quevedo,
surprised not more people are jumping on trying a not yet released, recently bottled port.
If i get no takers, me and sushi are going to peking duck house and drinking it.

I'll be in NYC in October for the Brooklyn Rock 'n' Roll 10k, but I suspect you can't wait that long.
