Gentlemen,

I just received an offer to adopt some bottles of the Junco VVV to import. The price for this would be 75 EUR per bottle. For such an old Port I believe that this is a good price. Please let me now if you intend to receive some.
I will try to arrange the shipment either by Wolfgang if it works out or will ship it as postage to the UK is not too bad.

Background from the family: This Quinta do Junco VVV is a blend of vintages, ranging from 1921 until 1929 (except for the 1928). They were blended in 1945 and bottled in 1947. The property from where this wines came from is , as you know, ‟Quinta do Junco”, now belonging to Taylor.

As I am trying to help selling it, I am referring to Alex TN:

Bottled in 1947 after approximately 30 years in barrel. Deep brown colour with a light brown rim; opaque because of the cloudy character of the wine. Mild rancio nose; a neutral entry that is slow to develop on the palate but patience eventually allows multiple layers of flavour to show which are supported by a pleasant acidity. Burnt sugar and rhubarb on the very, very long finish. An odd and asymmetric wine that was a real pleaseure to try. 90/100. Drunk 23 April 2013.

I think that's a fair price for this wine. I rather enjoyed it, but won't buy any since I am (a) trying not to buy port, and (b) when I do buy port I am trying to buy ruby port.
