T80: dark red, 70% opaque. Big and strangely young. Heat mid palate. Like an ’80, I suppose. Big plum fruit, but taste overall had a slight hollowness.

Imperial College stock. Deep red colour, 70% opaque. Youthful nose, barely evolved fruit dominated by quite aggressive redcurrants. Pleasant ripe fruit on impact; a lovely structure with gentle acidity and soft floral overtones. The tannins are present, firm but modest. The floral tones dominate the aftertaste and the fabulous length. 88/100. 22-Mar-13. Decanted 7 hours.
