Next port being opened

Having worked my way through a very light and, in the end, slightly tedious bottle of Martinez 1975 I've decided that tonight I will open a bottle of 1984 Warre Bottle Aged LBV.

Hopefully that will have a bit more oomph than did the Mz75 - that really was light and sugary.

Will be very interested to see what you think; We had some friends over on Monday night and I happened to open the exact same bottle. I had previously opened an 82, which was very tasty the first night, though I felt paled on the subsequent couple of nights and became more like a "normal" LBV; Since the entire bottle of 84 vanished rather quickly on Mon, I can't report whether this may be typical for old LBV or not. The 84 had noticeable vanilla to me, smooth and mellow; how is/was yours?

I've posted a tasting note, which is pretty consistent with the bottle I tried in June. It's enjoyable and pleasant, but a bit of a lightweight (IMO) compared to the 1986 LBV
