If you had to choose...

Either of the following;

6 Dow 1997,
6 Dow 2000,
6 Graham 2000,
6 QdVesuvio 1995

Each approximately £30 per bottle with perfect provenance.

Which would you opt for? Unfortunately greater than 6 is not an option.

I have read the TN's on all and I think the Dow 1997 is a close winner. All opinions are much appreciated.

Difficult choice for me between the 2000 Graham and the 1995 Vesuvio. As I already own a 6-pack of the Vesuvio and need more 2000s, the Graham wins.

I think the answer depends on what you are looking for.

If you want something to drink reasonable soon then the Vesuvio 1995 is the best option, followed by the Dow 1997. If you want something to keep and enjoy in 15 to 20 years from now then the Dow or Graham 2000 are the correct choice.

Or, sell your children, your wife's jewellery, and anything else you need to, and buy all four :lol:

Vesuvio 1995 is a lovely wine that is very enjoyable today but which also has the structure and power to last another 20+ years.

I've never tried the Dow 1997. The one occasion I've tried the Dow 2000 I felt it was a well structured port that needed to be left alone until the mid-20s.

The Graham 2000 has always really impressed me.

If the decision was being taken by me, I would be choosing between the Graham 2000 if I wanted something for the future, and the Vesuvio 1995 if I wanted something to drink now and over the next 20 years.

V95 for me. Only had the three bottles but it was rather nice and now have depleted all my stock :(
