What is the oldest Barros Colheita?

One of my nicest colheitas is defenetely Barros 1935 in original OWC. I just wondering is this the oldest Barros colheita ever bottled? I know that they still have stocks of colheitas from 1930s still in wood, but is there anything older then '35? And if yes, is it ever been bottled?

Several shippers seem to have stocks of the '37 - that being a stellar year for Colheitas (or so I'm told - I've never tried one)
I rather suspect that everything prior to that has long since been bottled and shipped out.
That said, there is probably an old pipe or two lurking in the corner of a lodge somewhere that pre-dates this era, but the contents are probably more like treacle than wine!

Thanks Tom. Just checked and it's bottled 1979 thus as you said, those very old stocks have been bottled a long time ago. I doubt how drinkable it is, but I really like the bottle, it's really nice collectable item

I've seen (and tasted) colheitas from Barros from 1938 (bottled 1999), 1940 (bottled 1999) and 1957 (bottled 2001). I've not seen anything older than the 1938 and don't know what they still have in stock.

Alex,
You've also had a 1935 Barros White Colheita, bottled in 2007

I have a Barros 1912 Colheita at home. Although I feel tempted to open it and see whether it is still any good, I was wondering how much such a bottle could be sold for?

PortDude,
looks like you've got yourself a rare one. I can find Niepoort Colheita 1912 on Winesearcher, but not Barros. Google searches aren't helping much either.
It would be tempting to think of a huge personal occasion in the future, and sample a bit of the past. (Its the year the Titanic faltered, isn't it?)

Absolutely right, Conky!
Thanks for the additional info. I will try to post a picture of the bottle.
It's funny to see how label design has evolved.

Oh no, you've mentioned label design. Wait for it...
