The Five Word Novel

Post by jdaw1 »

The Rules
  • Exactly five words in each post (after this one).
  • Somebody else must post before you do so again.
  • The object is to produce a (semi-)coherent story.
  • Long rambling sentences are acceptable.
  • Don’t forget to punctuate.
  • Write good English, grammatical, correctly spelt.
  • Keep it clean.
  • Before posting, do check that you have read to the end that you aren’t looking at a non-terminal page.
  • Very rarely, somebody may post a ‘Story so far’, inside quote tags (as well as a five-word continuation). Please, never more than once per page.
  • If you must make an administrative comment, do so in [square brackets] underneath your five-word story extension.
  • Idea taken from this password-protected thread, totalling about 3½k posts since Wed 01 May 2002.
I’ll start:
