Moving old Port around in this weather causes temperature shock when coming out of the cellar and the risk of seepage starting. Sadly it’s not uncommon for bottles come from caution houses having started seeping.
Does anyone have any recommendations regarding smaller bags / styro shippers which can be used for a couple of bottles of Port which reduce temperature variation.

I use Polysafe 6-bottle boxes (PP6) which provide good insulation as well impact/penetration protection. They're more expensive to buy in the first place, but I've re-used them many, many times. I do have a few 1, 2 and 3-bottle poly boxes, but they mostly use individual poly tubes which also allows more play in the cardboard outer and I trust less; the 6-bottle version isn't much heavier and is much more robust, so unlikely to increase shipping cost much even with only two or three bottles (with 6 port bottles it's just under the 10kg limit for next day special delivery). I usually ask the auction houses to only send it on a Mon-Wed using next-day, just in case of delays/problems, so it doesn't sit in warehouses/vans over a weekend (and usually is then only with the carrier overnight, for as little time as possible).
