Current draft of the placemats (the design echoing those of E2>V and of V=200).

Seven years ago we commemorated Victoria’s 200th (planning, review).

It is a good precedent, and Tuesday 21^st April 2026 would have been the hundredth birthday of the late Queen Elizabeth II. For Victoria the theme was “Port Fit for a Queen, again”, the theme for E2>V having been “Port Fit for a Queen”. It is still a splendid theme.

Sadly this is too soon after the 1960 tasting and too close to the 2011 tasting for me to be likely to make it.

(Minor note: I am unlikely to be able to make both this and the '60 tasting, but since I am currently only reserve for the '60 tasting, I'll now make this as the priority)

To which I took Warre 1966, so, precedent having been set, I’ll bring a Warre 1966 for E2’s C^th. Others, please reveal.

May I bring a Warre 77? Tenuous link but it was a Jubilee year.

This sounds like an excellent idea.
I've just joined. JDAW and I met on the comments pages of the FT where I also use the name Chateau d'Yquem. I'm keen on port too but I don't have a cellar. So I'd like to join but could I adopt from somebody?

In the FT there was a good comment from somebody with handle “Vintage Chateau d'Yquem”. Doing nothing was never going to be a sensible possibility.
