Ben P. arranged a Bring a Bottle event, sighted, at the Boot & Flogger. And what an evening it was.

T48, Raby Castle. Dark red, 60% opaque. Nose of dark cherries. Thick, thick, thich plum smoothie, then dry mid-palate, then sweet mid-palate. best texture ever in a totally mature Port. Fantastic! Again, like the F34, in my Hall of Glory. Which better? Difficult. T48 texture far superior; F34 slightly more complex. I don’t know.

Wonderful pigeon's blood ruby colour. Thick, treacly, texture and the fruit is wonderful. Nose is sensational, palate is heartbreaking, finish is superlative.
