T00, red brown, 30% opaque. Early-palate bitterness, still some raspberry, soft texture, light, with a hint of Bakewell tart.

Lovely dry fruit with perfect balance, what a long finish, no heat. Just wow! Has this really been in bottle for 123 years. No sweetness, dry style again. What really surprised me was how long this lasted a good 2 hours. A complete joy to drink. Outstanding 2 points

1900 Taylor, bottled by an unknown UK merchant. Opened at 18.30 and decanted 2 hours later. Tasted an hour after decanting. A rich red colour with an attractive core. Balanced entry with sweet fruit on the palate, gentle tannins in the sweet fruit, candied cherry. Long cherry finish. This is a really lovely, fully mature example of Taylor Port - full of sweet and surprisingly attractive candied cherry fruit. Lovely. 92/100. The first of my glasses to be emptied.
