G70 tregnum: I did not take a note, but this was proper Port.

As jdaw1, on all counts. A necessary palate cleanser, after so many indifferent (or worse) ports.

1970 Graham, from tregnum. Decanted about 11.00 and drunk at 20.00. A rich red mahogany, 70% opaque. Little on the nose although some swirling allows a bit of red berry fruit jelly to emerge; fruit which is much more vigorous than any of the other wines in this flight - making this glass a really helpful reference point. The palate is full of the rich red berry fruit expected from Graham’s but drier than I would have anticipated. Full of flavour, with a gently fiery aniseed aftertaste and long finish. This is a wine which is a class above most (all?) of the fully mature wines in flight 0. The phenomenally long finish of semi-primary black fruit packed with acidity on this wine shows just how much more time in the cellar this wine in this format could take. Absolutely delicious Port!  94/100.
