Dl70 (C. da Silva): red-brown, 40% opaque; palate odd, soft caramel sweetness and aniseed. Noted as “Junior”.

Good clear reddish brown. Good clean nose. Quite a bit of apricot fruit. Not bad. Finish a bit indeterminate.

1970 from C. da Silva, Oporto bottled under the C. da Silva label. More bronze red colour from most in this flight, 60% opaque. Some dried vine fruit on the nose. Showing some life on the palate with a little ripe tangerine fruit. Tinned tangerines on the mineral and metallic fruit aftertaste and finish. Lovely canned tangerine finish that persists for a decent time. 85/100.
