NV Graham Six Gapes Vila Velha

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Graham Six Grapes, Vila Velha edition released in 2022 to commemorate James Symington’s restoration of his vineyards at Quinta da Vila Velha. The darkest (and youngest) of the three special editions of Six Grapes, narrow rim. Sweet esteva nose, fruit which is fat and ripe. Nicely balanced entry, the fruit oozing purple jam across the palate. Chunky acidity, the barest hint of tannins and a lovely floral perfume. Young and full of vigour. Attractive aftertaste, dominated by the fruit for a good, long finish. Very youthful. 87/100. Pop and pour. 16-Nov-23.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
