Purchased in a whim at Hooked fish bar for dessert alongside a scoop of vanilla gelato that arrived late enough not to ruin my palate (but paired up beautifully once it did).
Medium brick red, maybe fading to the edges. Not a complex nose, dominated by a bright caramel nose. On the palate it's a different story, rich butterscotch to open along with strawberries and a hint of a more tart red berry note.
Most intriguingly there is a lot of chocolate mint in the middle of the palate, which then combines with the caramel into a lovely finish, rounded out with a lovely orange acidity.
This is a very enjoyable port, and I may try and seek it out while I'm in Porto.
