Fabulous inviting rich ruby. Beautiful mouthfeel and fruit. Really very good port indeed.

G77: red-pink, 30% opaque. Nose had maraschino cherries. Different to all older bottles: intensely maraschino, with slight spearmint. The contrast in style was very great.

Graham 1977, the oldest of the wines which are rose-red in colour rather than burnt ochre; 50% opaque. Muted nose showing a little fruit; spiced and lovely. Restrained on the palate but delivers a fabulous aftertaste and finish, full of aniseed and cranberry. Generous acidity making for a wine which is bright and lively. Mature Port, but only just. 91/100. Double-decanted 11 hours and 20 minutes.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

G77. Med light ruby in color. Look very pretty in the glass. Nose is reticent with only a little soft red fruit discernable. Palate is pleasing, but also not very complex. Tannins are relatively faint. 93 points.
