1989 Quinta da Ribeira da Caparide, Carcavelos. Light and elegant appearance, looks a little turbid with some fine sediment in suspension. 20% opaque. Sharp and bright on the nose, something a little odd? Balanced on the palate, light and elegant and made in a drier style. Stunning persistent finish of bitter grapefruit and light brown sugar. 89/100. Tasted at a Carcavelos event in Lisbon on 29-Feb-2024.
Top Ports in 2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

2025: Quevedo 1972 Colheita, b.2024. Just as good as Niepoort 1900!
