2003 Chateau Rauzan-Segla

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Rauzan-Segla 2003, decanted 2 hours. Fabulous, simply fabulous. At that delicious point where the fruit is still generous but the wine is mature enough to show the cedar tones of mature Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit fills the mouth with sweet and ripe fruit, yet with soft tannins and gentle acidity. Great finish, full of long-lasting fruit. Lovely mature claret. 89/100. 30-May-23. Decanted 2 hours. Margaux. 75cl.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
