Tom - It’s worth asking the question about food options. With notice, they might be willing and able to offer off-menu choices.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

To try to get my head around this tasting, I've been through the posts and updated the list of people who are attending and the list of wines available.

Simon, Phil and Harry have dropped out and been removed from the list.

That has resulted in Mike, Will and Ben moving from the reserve list to have a confirmed seat. Martin and AlexH are on the reserve list.

Could those with seats at the table who are travelling from outside the UK please confirm you will be with us - Moses and Will? (JMK is already confirmed).

Tom - you need to tell people which Ports you are bringing and which Ports you want others to bring. I've started a list on the first post.

All - food orders to be added to the thread please.

It’s recently dawned on me that rather annoyingly, 25 May doesn’t actually work for me (in spite of initially stating to the contrary) as I will be in Lisbon that evening! Therefore, I will have to ruefully drop out.

We’ll miss you Ian, but I’m sure you’ll console yourself with a quick visit to Garrafeira Nacional.

Martin - you’re promoted to a place at the table.

AlexH - you’re promoted to number one reserve.

Starter - Mac n Cheese.
Main - steak (rare), fries, green beans and Bearnaise sauce, please.
I’ve not managed to acquire anything from 1983 in the intervening period, so I’m still an adopter.

That’s a shame, but I’m sure we’ll see you at another tasting soon.

AlexH — that gives you a confirmed seat at the table for this tasting.

I regret that I cannot now accept my promotion from the reserve list. If one or more bottles are needed from me, please advise by text or private message and I will figure out how to get them to Blighty in time.

Tom, Will (WHW) has had to drop out of the tasting.

That takes us down to 13. I’ll update the first post later today.
