1966 Graham

Post by winesecretary »

Opened 1230.

Mature, but full ripe red.

Full rich fruit cake of a port. So much weight.

Sultanas plumped with brandy. Then strawberry tart.

This is lovely rich port, and WOTN.

This was JDAW’s thoughts on the wine:

G66, d+5½h. Glorious red, 40% opaque. Nose of mature Port, with a hint of dark plum. Palate soft and full and lovely; coffee early; slight heat mid-palate; start to finish is an unctuous large fully mature Port. Really good.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
