1990 Graham Malvedos

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Tasted at JDAW's Cellar Reduction Dinner on 16th February 2022.

A lovely red colour, mature appearance; 60% opaque. A little closed on the nose, but swirling releases some slightly sharp red fruit. On the palate the red fruit shows well with hints of pineapple - a combination ready for drinking with hints of raspberry jam. Long raspberry and honeycomb finish - then an amazing burst of lime. A lovely wine, drinking deliciously. 91/100. drunk 16-Feb-22. Decanted 5 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.

55% opacity, dark red. Red fruit on the nose. Lovely rich mouthfeel, great balance, candy and honeycomb, strawberries.
