2006 Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional

Post by Alex Bridgeman »

Tasted at JDAW's Cellar Reduction Dinner on 16th February 2022.

Cork fragmented when being drawn. Deep red colour with a wide rim. Nice nose, floral and sweet plum. Nicely balanced entry with sweet fruit and a little structure remaining. The fruit builds deliciously and gives a lovely palate. Nice aftertaste with a big floral burst of flavours before a long and tasty sweet finish. A lovely elegant wine. 92/100. 16-Feb-22. Decanted 2 hours.
Top Ports in 2023: Taylor 1896 Colheita, b. 2021. A perfect Port.

2024: Niepoort 1900 Colheita, b.1971. A near perfect Port.
